Moscow Cat Circus / Richard Moss / Horse Puppets / Red Hot Drop
One of the challenges that we have faced whilst organising this online festival is how we can reflect the wonderful variety and eclectic programme that is present in the venues throughout the Lancashire town of Clitheroe and beyond. We wanted to create an online festival which would be representative of the whole event and not just the headline artistes.
The 'Festival Showcase' will take place on all three days of the festival. These will incorporate musicians who were due to perform at the festival in 2020 as well as messages of support from local businesses. These features include jazz, blues, funk and other styles representative of our lively and vibrant, smaller venue and street programme.
Moscow Cat Circus
Well funky, great bass lines and gorgeous vocals/harmonies. Songs you can dance to!! Original funky pop music from this Clitheroe based quintet! From zero to funking on down in one verse and a chorus.
Richard Moss is a well established guitar vocalist on the UK folk scene and his Clitheroe based Irish band ‘Drop The Floor’ are superb! Richard, however, is equally at home playing ragtime guitar and this short performance sees him present ragtime and roots music that has quality written all over it.
Formerly known as The Retrosettes, The Horse Puppets embark on a new journey concentrating solely on original music. The band includes pedal steel guitar, violin, synths and an acoustic band for a truly unique sound.
Red Hot Drop
Red Hot Drop is a funky/jazz rock band covering popular songs with a repertoire to please most tastes. Based in East Lancashire the band is fronted by the excellent vocals of Ann Radcliffe. Apart from original material written by Ann, they cover classic songs from the likes of Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Janis Joplin, The Doobie Bros, Talking Heads, Roxy Music and Amy Winehouse.
